(*) Franck BERGEROT has been writing for thirty-five years in the specialized music press (Jazz Hot, Jazzman, Jazz Magazine, Le Monde de la Musique). He has been editor-in-chief of Jazz Magazine since 2007. Co-author with Arnaud Merlin of a two-volume history of jazz (L’Épopée du jazz, coll. “Découvertes”, Gallimard, 1990), he is also the author of Le Jazz dans tous ses états (Larousse, 2010) and Miles Davis, introduction à l’écoute du jazz moderne (Seuil, 1996). In 2009, he wrote the main text for the catalog of the exhibition We Want Miles organized by the Cité de la Musique. With Frédéric Goaty, he wrote the liner notes for the international edition The Complete Columbia Album Collection, a complete collection of Miles Davis’ original albums on 53 CDs. In the same year, he produced a “Nuit Miles Davis” for France Musique.
